Celebrate Sunflowers - Gold Embossing with Whitewashing and Sponging on color Card

Today's card is a swap card I made. Every month I partake in card swaps. Sometimes it's only one (a monthly one I have committed to with themed cards each month) and sometimes I go completely mad and sign up for an extra four! My Post Office knows me well. I wanted to make something a little more complex than usual. The theme for this swap was "Favorite Flower" and I thought the new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set was just perfect for it.

Here are the items you'll need:
  • Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp set
  • Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder
  • Heat Tool
  • Versamark ink
  • Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso Ink pads
  • Sponge daubers
  • White craft ink refill
  • Water Painters
  • Linen thread about 22"
  • Gilded gems
  • Crumb cake cardstock piece 5 1/4 x 4"
  • Whisper White card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
  • Block B, E

Whale Done Gatefold Card with Belly Band

The Whale Done bundle caught my eye when I first saw the new Annual catalog. I wanted to make a simple to create, yet super stunning card with this set. Here's what I came up with!

I used a different card base color for the tutorial video I posted below. While Calypso Coral is not my favorite of the Stampin' Up! colors, I do like how bright it makes the second card I made.

Here's what I used to make the cards:
  • Whale Done Bundle
  • 2" and 2 1/4" circle punches
  • Pretty Peacock or Calypso Coral card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
  • Strip of Pretty Peacock or Calypso Coral  1 1/2" x 10 1/2"
  • Scrap of Granny Apple Green or Pretty Peacock for the 2 1/4" circle punch
  • Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4" for inside card panel
  • Scrap of Whisper White for 2" circle punch
  • Whale of a time DSP - 5 1/4" x 1 7/8" Two pieces each
  • Sponge daubers
  • Ink pads - Pretty Peacock, Just Jade, Granny Apple Green
  • Blocks - A, C, D
  • Stampin' Pierce Mat - Currently unavailable but will be available once production returns
  • Stamparatus foam mat - serves a similar purpose as the pierce mat above
  • Paper trimmer and snips if you are cutting out your sea turtle
  • Dimensionals for popping up your whale or sea turtle

June 2020 Paper Pumpkin Reveal and 5 Alternatives!

Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin? It is a monthly subscription service offered by Stampin' Up! and is a box of creativity delivered to your door every month! Here are the cards made with the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin box. The theme was #boxofsunshine and doesn't it just look like sunshine.

One of the things I love the most about Paper Pumpkin is all of the leftovers after you finish the original projects. I love creating, with the extra parts of pieces, new cards, and other products. What I created with this month's components are below.

Here's the video I created showing off the materials from this kit and explaining what I did to create the items above. Comment below which of my alternative projects was your favorite!
